1 Million TL Electric Car Reeder ReeV Aura is Sold Out: Why is the Interest So Great? [Updated]

Reeder's electric car ReeV Aura, with a price in the 1 million TL band, consumed stocks in a short time. Analysis of the market's intense interest in the accessible electric vehicle and technical details.

Electric Urban Compact Vehicle

Reeder's domestic electric car ReeV Aura was launched with a price tag of 1 million TL and sold out in a short time. At a time when new car prices in Turkey reached record highs, this affordable electric option was quickly embraced by the market and waiting lists for new deliveries began to form.

Reeder, previously positioned on the micro mobility side ReeV Fancy with the Aura. With its data on paper, the Aura is closer to the line of a full-scale car that focuses on urban use, not a toy.

Update: As of the date and time the news was published, stocks appeared to be sold out on the Reeder website, so we reported this news under the title Sold Out. However, in the following days, it was observed that stocks became available again. As of February 16, 2026, when this note was written, the Reev Aura Electric Car is shown as in stock on the Reeder website.

Technical Package, Urban Focus and Production Model

The ReeV Aura is attracting this interest due to its technical features that seem sufficient for urban use and its clear production strategy. According to the official statement made to KAP, the vehicle was developed based on the Wuling Bingo model, which has a high sales volume in China. It will be supplied within the framework of the agreement with LOJO EV Group Limited and will be assembled in the existing Reeder facilities in Samsun by modernising the existing lines. The first production is planned to start in mid-December 2025. Technically, it is positioned as a fully electric vehicle in the M1 (passenger car) class with a range of 350 km (probably CLTC standard) and a top speed of 180 km/h.

This model symbolises Reeder's transition from the micro segment (Le6/Fancy) to the full-scale car segment. Unlike Togg's integrated production and design model, this approach points to a kind of “overseas technology cooperation + local assembly/production” strategy that prioritises fast market entry and cost optimisation. In this model, the buyer audience seems to prioritise affordable price, concrete delivery date and urban functionality rather than absolute high localisation rate.

The technical specifications of the vehicle announced by Reeder are as follows;

  • Length / Width / Height: 3950 / 1708 / 1580 mm
  • Axle Distance: 2650 mm
  • Empty Weight: 1125kg
  • Motor: 50 kW PMAC
  • Maximum Torque 150 Nm
  • Range: 333 km
  • Tyre Sizes: 185/60 R15
  • Traction Type: Front-wheel drive

Accessible Vehicle Gap and Gap in the Market

The exchange rate fluctuations and inflation in the Turkish automotive market, especially in the last few years, have pushed up the prices of new vehicles significantly. Many traditional internal combustion models and electric competitors are priced above the 1.5-2 million TL band. ReeV Aura's positioning in the 1 million TL band promised to cross an important psychological threshold for access to a new and electric car. This was not only an economic preference, but also an indicator of a long-unmet demand for accessible electric vehicles in the market. Reeder's campaigns for ease of payment and instalment options are among the factors supporting this demand.

Critical Questions and Future Vision

Although the sales speed of the vehicle indicates a need in the market, the next steps will determine the permanence of Reeder. When the first deliveries will start, whether the production can be scaled up in Samsun on time as planned, and most importantly, after-sales services come to the fore. There are three main issues that buyers are curious about:

  • True Range and Performance: How the 333 km range value in the CLTC standard will be realised in different geographical and climatic conditions in Turkey, especially in intensive urban use.
  • Security and Hardware Transparency: Clarification of the level and packages of ABS, ESP, number of airbags and driving assistance systems expected in an M1 class vehicle.
  • Service Network and Spare Parts: Establishment of a service network with special competence for electric vehicle technology and how spare parts supply processes will operate.

Clear Market Message and Producer Responsibility

The rapid sell-out of the ReeV Aura is clear evidence of the Turkish market's hunger for affordable, zero kilometre electric cars. While this interest opens an important window of opportunity for Reeder, it also imposes a great responsibility to make the brand a serious player in the automotive sector.

The key to success will be not only fast sales, but also timely and quality delivery, transparent communication on technical specifications and a reassuring after-sales experience. This process will also be an important reference point for the future of domestic initiatives in Turkey's electric vehicle ecosystem.
