UTAŞ is a Turkish company specialising in weapons design, engineering and OEM manufacturing. Founded in 2006, UTAŞ's head office and factory are located in Antalya. In the first years of its establishment, UTAŞ helped rifle manufacturers in Turkey to establish connections with the USA and exported their rifles to these companies. In late 2011, UTAŞ focused on the export of its own product with the launch of its completed project, the UTS 15 pump shotgun. UTAŞ is among the best firearm design companies with its designs, and has been nominated for “Weapon of the Year” by the NRA's American Rifleman Magazine in 2006 and 2007.
