A project called "water-powered car engine," developed by five high school students in Mersin, not only won them first place in Türkiye but also opened doors to new worlds for them.
Erkin Şahin, Umut Deniz Engin, Yaşam Gülseven, Gülün Tunay Baydar, and Ogün Aktaş, students at Eyüp Aygar Anatolian High School, developed the "Water-Powered Car Engine" project at the beginning of the 2009-2010 academic year, driven by the idea that "Our environment is being polluted, we need to do something.".
