GÖKTÜRK 2 in Space

GÖKTÜRK 2 was launched into space from the Jiuquan Launch Base in China.

TUSAŞ GÖKTÜRK

Türkiye's high-resolution domestic reconnaissance satellite, GÖKTÜRK 2, was launched into space from the Jiuquan Launch Base in China. The satellite successfully entered orbit, and its first signal has been received.

Produced with a high degree of domestic content through a partnership between TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute (UZAY) and TUSAŞ, GÖKTÜRK 2, with a resolution of 2.5 meters, began its journey into space at 18:13 Turkish time from the Jiuquan Space Launch Center in Gansu Province, People's Republic of China. GÖKTÜRK 2 entered its orbit at an altitude of 686 kilometers at 18:25, 12 minutes after launch. The first signal from the satellite was successfully received at 19:39 after it entered orbit.
