Karsan, a domestic manufacturer preferred in Europe for electric public transportation, delivered 14 Atak Electric and 6 Jest Electric buses to the Dej Municipality in Romania.
Karsan, which offers transportation solutions tailored to the mobility needs of the modern age from its factory in Türkiye, continues to transport people across Europe with its 100% electric public transport vehicles, Jest Electric and Atak Electric. The brand, which continues to deliver orders throughout the year without slowing down, recently delivered 14 Atak Electric and 6 Jest Electric vehicles to the Dej Municipality in Romania. Karsan, together with its distributor Anadolu ROM, won the tender opened with the support of the European Union Regional Development Fund for the modernization of the public transport systems of the Dej Municipality.
It offers a range of 300 km on a single charge.
Karsan's Atak Electric, a member of its electric vehicle range in the 8-meter class, provides its users with a high-performance driving experience by producing 230 kW of motor power and 2500 Nm of torque. With a total battery capacity of 220 kWh thanks to five 44 kWh batteries developed by BMW, the Atak Electric surpasses its competitors with a range of 300 km, and can be charged in 5 hours with AC charging units and in 3 hours with a DC unit. The Jest Electric, on the other hand, stands out with its compact 6-meter dimensions and superior maneuverability. Available with a BMW-produced electric motor generating 135 kW of power and 290 Nm of torque, and with BMW-produced 44 or 88 kWh batteries, the Jest Electric offers a range of up to 210 km.
