According to the "Link-16 Data Link Card Supply Contract" signed between TÜBİTAK SAGE and Meteksan Defense, the Link-16 Data Link Processor Card for the SOM-J munition, which will be developed for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), will be manufactured by Meteksan Defense.
The SOM-J High-Precision Cruise Missile will meet the Turkish Air Force's cruise missile requirements for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and will be one of the most important striking forces of the F-35 fighter jets, which will be used by many allied countries, with Türkiye being a project partner. Within this framework, the Link-16 Data Link Processor hardware solution, which is critical for network-enabled munition, will be domestically developed for the SOM-J missiles by Meteksan Defense. In this context, we will also be producing the first domestic tactical data link processor hardware. The relevant hardware will be delivered in a sealed box and will have features that meet the environmental requirements inside the munition.
