Petkim invests in technology. The R&D unit, which moved to Aliağa, İzmir in 2003, has brought together its 50 years of accumulated knowledge and experienced human resources under one roof.
Petkim, Türkiye's only domestic producer of raw materials in the petrochemical sector, has opened its new R&D Center. Having pioneered a significant process by establishing a research center in its Yarımca complex in 1970, Petkim, after relocating to Aliağa, İzmir, has moved its R&D unit, which had been operating in various buildings, to a new center with a total usable area of 1,200 square meters, comprising 350 square meters for pilot facilities and 850 square meters for laboratories and offices. The R&D Center officially began operations with the approval of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology.
