Space technology company Plan-S has successfully sent four new Connecta IoT network satellites into space on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket. This launch, carried out with the Transporter-12 mission, draws attention as part of Plan-S's efforts to expand its presence in space.
The satellites were placed in sun-synchronous orbit and, according to the first statements made by Plan-S, the first signals of the satellites were received strongly as expected. The Plan-S team successfully analysed the satellites' telemetry data and confirmed that all systems are in perfect health.
With the launch of these four new satellites, the commissioning of the Connecta IoT network has officially begun, providing cost-effective and high-capacity connectivity for IoT devices by offering wide coverage with low power consumption. With this achievement, Plan-S has completed the next phase of the Connecta IoT Network constellation, which aims to revolutionise IoT connectivity across the globe.
