TÜMOSAN, the half-century-old giant of Turkish agricultural industry, has launched a brand new platform to break the imported tractor hegemony in the sector on its 50th anniversary. The company held the official launch of the eagerly awaited 81 Evo (Evolution) series at the 50th Year Dealer Communication Summit in Antalya. The flagship model of the series, the 81.110 Evo, was presented to farmers with its 105 HP domestic engine, 30 forward and 15 reverse Powershift transmission, and fully digitalised cabin ergonomics. Having undergone a radical transformation from design to running gear, this new platform promises Turkish farmers technological comfort comparable to imported competitors and high pulling power.
The agricultural mechanisation market in Türkiye has been witnessing intense competition focused on technology and efficiency in recent years. Farmers now demand not just a mechanical tractor in the field, but decision-making mechanisms that save fuel, reduce operator fatigue, and work compatibly with smart farming systems. To meet these modern needs and consolidate its market strength, TÜMOSAN developed the 81 Evo series, inspired by the English word "Evolution."
The 81.110 Evo model, which took the stage at the summit, goes down in history as the most innovative, best-equipped, and most aggressive tractor model the brand has ever produced in terms of exterior design. Moreover, the company is elevating not only the hardware but also the driving feel and aesthetics to global standards.
Aggressive Design and New Colour Concept
TÜMOSAN engineers and design team broke completely away from the brand's classic look for the 81 Evo series, creating a brand new aesthetic language. With its sharp lines, modern LED lighting groups, and assertive sheet metal design, the vehicle displays an extremely aggressive stance from the outside.
The biggest revolution visually occurred in the colour combination. The company applied a new colour scheme consisting of Anthracite Grey, Black, and Red details, which it had never used before. The red stripes on the body and the stylish grille design add a sporty automobile dynamism to the tractor. According to information provided at the launch, the company plans to integrate this new design language, which received full marks from farmers, into future garden tractors and other series.
A Domestic Engine at its Heart: 3.9 Litre and Powershift Transmission
The efficiency of a tractor in the field is determined by the engine power and the transmission technology that transfers that power to the wheels. The 81 Evo series houses a powerful 3.9-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine produced in TÜMOSAN's own factories under the hood. The series is offered for sale in four different versions producing 75, 85, 95, and 105 horsepower. The flagship 81.110 Evo model on display at the launch can pull even the heaviest soil cultivation equipment without difficulty with its 105 HP power.
On the powertrain side, TÜMOSAN is making the major technological leap farmers have long awaited. The tractor features an advanced transmission architecture offering 30 forward and 15 reverse gear options.
- Powershift (Partial Shift): Operators can instantly adjust the engine speed according to torque needs using buttons on the gear lever (partial shift) without changing the main gears.
- Power Shuttle: Thanks to the electronic shuttle lever integrated on the left side of the steering wheel, the driver can change the tractor's direction forward or backward without pressing the clutch pedal. This feature reduces operator fatigue to zero, especially during headland turns and loading work with a bucket.
- Electro-Hydraulic Controls: The four-wheel drive (4WD) system and differential lock are controlled entirely by electro-hydraulic buttons. Additionally, there are 6 hydraulic outlets at the rear and an electronic draft control system.
Company officials announced that the T100 Evo HD transmission, front axle, and cabin architecture used in this model were developed together with international partners, but will be produced entirely domestically at TÜMOSAN's factories in Konya in the future.
Quiet, Spacious, and Digital Cabin Experience
TÜMOSAN completely modernised the cabin where the user spends the whole day in the 81 Evo series. The new cabin, with a spacious interior volume of 1.9 cubic metres, offers excellent sound insulation of 79 decibels.
When you step inside the cabin, you are greeted by technological details that rival passenger cars:
- An air-suspended operator seat maximising driving comfort and a foldable, leather-upholstered hostess seat.
- A fully digitalised, modern instrument panel and electronic control buttons (hand throttle, hydraulic settings, differential lock) ergonomically gathered on the driver's right side.
- USB and Type-C ports added to the cabin for charging phones and tablets.
- An opening sunroof increasing cabin spaciousness and powerful LED ceiling lights.
90.125 Retro: The Legend Returns
Antalya’daki zirvenin bir diğer sürprizi ise 90.125 Retro Another surprise of the summit in Antalya was the 90.125 Retro model. Developed for farmers who love the classic TÜMOSAN design but seek modern technology, this model showcased its capabilities with an electronic shuttle, 24 forward 24 reverse transmission, 8 hydraulic outlets, and a massive rear lifting capacity of 5,000 kilograms. The Retro series is planned to be officially launched in June, and the 81 Evo series at the end of July.
Future Vision
With the 81 Evo series launched on its 50th anniversary, TÜMOSAN is rewriting the rules in the domestic tractor market. This new series eliminates farmers' need for high-cost imported brands. With its Powershift transmission, domestic engine, and digital cabin, the 81 Evo increases Türkiye's agricultural mechanisation power while serving as the strongest herald of TÜMOSAN's future vision for smart farming and autonomous vehicles.
