The first front fuselage of HÜRJET, which will make its first flight on March 18, 2023, has been moved from the production line to the final assembly line.

A significant milestone has been reached in the HÜRJET project, Türkiye's first jet-powered training aircraft, originally designed and developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI). The first fuselage of the aircraft has been moved from the production line to the final assembly line. All parts of the HÜRJET, which will make its first flight on March 18, 2023, will be assembled on the final assembly line, and ground tests will begin.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), a company known for its original projects in the aviation field, has completed the production of the first fuselage for the HÜRJET Jet Training Aircraft project, which it launched in 2017 with its own resources, and moved it to the final assembly line. 350 parts have been assembled for the fuselage, which will manage all the electronic systems of the HÜRJET Jet Training Aircraft project, which will consist of nearly 8,000 parts in total. The fuselage, made of aluminum and composite parts, houses the aircraft's mission computer, areas for controlling moving surfaces, avionics systems, and electronic components that will steer the aircraft.

Sharing his views on the first front fuselage moved to the final assembly line within the scope of the HÜRJET Project, General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil said, “I am thrilled to see the first component of HÜRJET, our country's first jet-powered training aircraft, moved to the final assembly line. Equipped with new generation technologies that will contribute to our country's jet pilot training, we will launch our HÜRJET project into the sky on March 18, 2023. As we celebrate the first century of our Republic in 2023, our country's visionary projects, HÜRJET and ATAK 2, will make us proud with their first flights. Our National Combat Aircraft will also emerge from the hangar, giving us double joy. I thank all my colleagues who have spared no effort to make this historic moment, a significant turning point in the field of aviation, a reality. We are developing projects in all areas of aviation, and I express my gratitude to our state and nation for their unwavering support.”.

Hürjet Jet Training Aircraft

The HÜRJET Jet Training Aircraft, a single-engine, tandem-cockpit aircraft whose serial production was approved by the Defense Industry Executive Committee (SSİK) on January 12, 2022, is designed to play a critical role in modern combat aircraft training with its superior performance characteristics. Capable of performing roles such as Combat Readiness Transition Training, Air Patrol (Armed and Unarmed), and Acrobatic Display Aircraft, the HÜRJET boasts a speed of 1.4 Mach and a limit of +8-3g. It can operate at altitudes up to 45,000 feet and carry a payload of nearly 3 tons. With its advanced human-machine interface, digitally controlled flight system, integrated tactical training, and virtual training systems, the HÜRJET will offer a new generation aircraft flight experience.
