The second vessel of the "Rescue and Salvage Vessels Project," conducted to meet the needs of the Naval Forces Command, "AKIN," has been launched. The first vessel built within the scope of the project, "IŞIN," was launched with a ceremony on June 25th.
KURYED vessels will be used for the rescue and towing of damaged, grounded, and malfunctioning ships, as well as for responding to ship fires. Furthermore, equipped with modern rescue systems such as remotely operated underwater vehicles, atmospheric diving suits, underwater ventilation systems, and decompression chambers, the vessels will also be able to perform underwater repair and wreck removal operations.
