The T625 GÖKBEY helicopter, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), successfully completed cold weather tests in Sweden's harsh winter conditions, with temperatures reaching minus 25 degrees Celsius.

In a statement dated February 13, 2025, TUSAS_TR shared on its social media account: “Our T625 GÖKBEY Helicopter has successfully completed its cold weather tests in Sweden! ❄️🚁 Developed to provide reliable service in all types of geography, GÖKBEY demonstrates to the world the level our country has reached in aviation.”.

These tests were conducted to evaluate the T625 GÖKBEY's engine performance, avionics systems, fuel system freeze resistance, and hydraulic system behavior under extremely cold conditions. Sweden was chosen to verify the helicopter's ability to operate reliably and efficiently even in the world's most challenging winter conditions.

Cold weather testing is critical for expanding the operational capabilities of a helicopter. These tests are essential, particularly for military and civilian operations, to ensure safe flight in polar regions or high-altitude cold areas. The successful completion of these tests by the T625 GÖKBEY once again proves the platform's compliance with international standards.

This achievement demonstrates the level of engineering capabilities and technological infrastructure reached by Türkiye in the aviation and defense industries. Developed by TUSAŞ, this platform continues its work with the goal of providing a reliable solution for both civil and military missions.
