The AAV7A1 RAM/RS enhanced amphibious assault vehicles offer command, control, and repair capabilities under armor protection, as well as ship-to-shore troop and cargo transport, the ability to swim in waves up to 3 meters high, and maneuver in rough beaches and challenging terrain. A 525 hp turbocharged diesel engine and two water jets that spray 52,990 liters of water per minute provide exceptional swimming performance at a speed of 13.3 km/h.
