ASPİLSAN Energy announced that it has developed batteries that will be used in civil aviation as well as defence industry platforms.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Turan Özdemir, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, stated that the batteries they produce adapt to different chemistries and physical conditions.
Özdemir said that ASPİLSAN Energy has an end-to-end capability, taking the material as powder and turning it into batteries. He stated that the company is involved in domestic projects such as the KAAN National Fighter Aircraft, Gökbey Helicopter, Hürjet and Hürkuş.
Özdemir noted that they also produce batteries for civil aviation, that they have EASA Civil Aviation Certification and that they are working to install batteries in the vehicles in THY's inventory. He also emphasised that ASPİLSAN Energy is capable of producing batteries in six different lithium ion chemistries.
