Ankara-based Bozankaya A.Ş. was awarded in Fast Company magazine's "Türkiye's 50 Most Innovative Companies" survey for its unlimited-range tram-bus system developed for Şanlıurfa. The company became one of Türkiye's most innovative companies in 2023.
Bozankaya's 12 unlimited-range tram-bus systems, produced for Şanlıurfa, are serving a region of Şanlıurfa that holds a special place in world tourism due to its historical and cultural richness.
Bozankaya's tram buses are electric, high-capacity, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly vehicles. In areas without a catenary system, the tram buses can be charged using a battery system and can travel independently for up to 50 km. Furthermore, thanks to their batteries that can be charged on the road, they have an unlimited range.
Bozankaya had previously supplied battery-powered tram vehicles to the city of Timișoara in Romania. The company also produced 22 metro vehicles for Bangkok and 100 driverless metro vehicles for Istanbul.
