A study conducted at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Niğde University resulted in the production of diesel and gasoline by processing used car tires.
In the study conducted under the leadership of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmet Bilgil, a faculty member of the Department of Civil Engineering at Niğde University's Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, diesel and gasoline of a quality suitable for industrial use were obtained from approximately 35 percent of the material used.
