Having successfully passed the qualification tests, the KAPLAN MT is ready for production.

KAPLAN MT successfully completed the Indonesian Army's qualification tests.

FNSS's KAPLAN MT medium-weight tank, developed in collaboration with Indonesian company PT Pindad, has successfully completed qualification tests for the Indonesian Army.

KAPLAN MT has thus demonstrated to its user that it meets the requirements set out at the beginning of the project and is ready to provide service.

The qualification tests were conducted in two groups: Endurance Tests and Firing Tests. The Endurance Tests, which tested the KAPLAN MT in the challenging conditions of Indonesia, took place on the island of Java from August 6-16. The tests utilized a route of approximately 2000 km in the western part of the island, encompassing diverse terrain and climate conditions. Starting in Bandung, the route passed through Cipali, Tegal, Semarang, Sarangan, Jogjakarta, Kebumen, Subang, Parompong, and ended back in Bandung.

Firing tests were conducted in Bandung between August 25-27. KAPLAN MT demonstrated its effectiveness by accurately hitting moving targets while in motion.

Officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Defence and the Indonesian Army Command were present during the qualification tests. FNSS personnel also provided support to PT Pindad personnel during the tests.

Prior to qualification tests, KAPLAN MT successfully completed mine tests with a full-scale mine prototype in July. With the successful completion of the qualification tests, KAPLAN MT is now ready for mass production.
