The original Gökbey helicopter conducted its first test flight.

TAI tarafından geliştirilen ve geçtiğimiz günlerde ilk defa palli motor çalıştırma testleri yapılan, Türkiye’nin ilk Milli ve Özgün helikopteri Gökbey (T625) bu sabah ilk uçuş testini gerçekleştirdi.

Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri’nin ve diğer ihtiyaç sahibi makamların, genel maksat helikopteri ihtiyaçlarının özgün bir platform ile karşılanması hedefiyle yürütülmekte olan Özgün Helikopter Programı, 15 Haziran 2010 tarihinde toplanan Savunma Sanayii İcra Komitesi (SSİK) kararı ile başlatılmıştır.
