In the 100th year of the Republic, Turkish skies will witness the arrival of the first Turkish fighter jet. The decision to launch the first Turkish fighter aircraft was made at a meeting of the Defense Industry Executive Committee chaired by Prime Minister Erdoğan.

It was decided to conduct a conceptual design to meet the Air Force Command's jet training and combat aircraft needs from the 2020s onwards.
