Developed by HAVELSAN, BARKAN stands out as a new technological solution offered by the Turkish defense industry for use by security forces.
BARKAN was designed as part of the digital unit concept. With specific enhancements tailored to user needs, it was added to the inventory at the end of 2023. Demonstrating successful performance in field tests, BARKAN is a vehicle capable of reaching speeds of up to 13 kilometers per hour and operating for over 5 hours. BARKAN's modular structure and state-of-the-art payload options enhance its ability to perform various tasks. Capable of successfully carrying out diverse missions such as assault, equipment transport, casualty transport, bomb disposal, reconnaissance and surveillance, and combat damage assessment with its advanced autonomous features, BARKAN is designed to provide a high level of security in scenarios requiring agility.
BARKAN's swarm infrastructure allows it to conduct joint operations by integrating with other autonomous vehicles. Furthermore, BARKAN, which will operate jointly with unmanned aerial vehicles, demonstrates superior performance in challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions. Thanks to these features, BARKAN not only offers security forces an effective solution against asymmetric threats but also excels in challenging terrain and harsh weather.
