The Design/Build/Fly Unmanned Aerial Vehicle competition, held in the USA with the support of American Cessna Aircraft Company and Raytheon Missile Systems, attracted 68 teams from universities around the world.
Istanbul Technical University's ATA Team finished 4th, surpassing some of America's best universities such as Illinois, Virginia Tech, and MIT. This result marks the best ever finish for a Turkish team in the competition's history and the second-best finish among teams from countries outside of America.
