To combat the undeniable reality of earthquakes in Türkiye and to reduce their impact, the Middle East Technical University's Department of Civil Engineering has developed a "Seismic Isolation System." This earthquake simulation system aims to reduce the damage rate from high-magnitude earthquakes. Designed to protect buildings during earthquakes, the system is installed beneath buildings, minimizing the destructive force of the tremor.
