With its completed 100% electric product range and remarkable growth performance, Karsan was one of the most eye-catching brands at the fair, showcasing its e-JEST, Autonomous e-ATAK, and Hydrogen e-ATA models.
Karsan CEO Okan Baş stated that they closed 2022 as the market leader in Europe with their e-JEST and e-ATAK models, which are the market leaders in electric minibuses and midibuses in Europe, and that they increased their market share to 6.7 percent in the first half of 2023. Baş said, “By the end of the year, we will have a total of 1,000 electric vehicles on the roads in 22 countries. In North America, one of our new target markets, we have already started with 30 e-JEST vehicles, and we will increase this number to over 100 by the end of the year. As part of our agreement in the Japanese market, we will launch our right-hand drive e-JEST vehicle in December. We have set a sales target of 300 units in the Japanese market within 3 years.’.
Baş also stated that they are shaping the future of mobility with autonomous and hydrogen technologies, adding that the Autonomous e-ATAK model continues to serve worldwide and that they are increasing the efficiency and safety of the vehicle with innovative features such as platooning and remote driving. Baş noted that with improved heat pump technology, electric vehicles promise a longer range in cold climates.
Karsan also made a difference at Busworld 2023 with the after-sales services it offers to its customers. Baş stated, “We strive to always be there for our customers with the technical training we provide, our online help desk, our 24/7 accessible international call center, our remote diagnostic system, our flying technical doctor team, our dedicated after-sales technical teams, and our spare parts warehouses in different locations.”.
Karsan also announced that it crowned its achievements at the Busworld 2023 fair with 11 important international awards.
