During the visit to TEI by the TSKGV Board of Directors on June 6, 2022, a full-scale model of the TEI-TF6000 was displayed to the participants for the first time.
Following approximately two years of design work, Türkiye's first domestically produced turbofan engine, TEI-TF6000, has reached the prototype manufacturing stage and will be able to generate thrust up to 6,000 lbs (approximately 10,000 lbs with the afterburner).
The TEI-TF6000 Turbofan Engine and its derivatives can be used in various national platforms, from aircraft to ships. The engine, currently designed to support an afterburner configuration, will be able to achieve the necessary power for supersonic flight when equipped with an afterburner.
