Türkiye's domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), Bayraktar TB3, broke the flight endurance record for the Baykar Defense UAV family with a 32-hour flight at an altitude of 20,000 feet.
Covering a distance of 5,700 kilometers in the sky in a single sortie, the Bayraktar TB3 has achieved another milestone in Turkish aviation history. This data also proves that the Bayraktar TB3 can operate for 32 hours at an altitude of 20,000 feet.
Developed by Baykar Defense, the Bayraktar TB3 stands out as the first ship-based UAV preparing to enter the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK). The Bayraktar TB3 has the capability to take off from and land on the TCG Anadolu amphibious ship.
The Bayraktar TB3 also underwent various tests during its 32-hour flight. The UAV successfully flew in challenging weather conditions such as cold temperatures at high altitude, low oxygen levels, wind, and turbulence. The Bayraktar TB3 also maintained uninterrupted communication with the ground control station and transmitted flight data.
Selçuk Bayraktar, Technical Director of Baykar Defense, announced the Bayraktar TB3's flight endurance record in a social media post. Bayraktar stated, "The Bayraktar TB3, which broke the flight endurance record of the Baykar UAV family, covered a distance of 5,700 kilometers in the sky in a single sortie. #NationalTechnologyInitiative".
