Zülal Tannur was born in 2001 as a visually impaired and very curious child. One of the things she was curious about was what a sunrise looked like. One day, her father took her to a high hill, allowing her to watch a sunrise for the first and last time in her life. Because Zülal completely lost her sight in 2011. Since then, she has needed descriptive assistant technologies to explain images for her. Believing that existing descriptive applications were insufficient, Zülal developed the From Your Eyes (FYE) idea.
