Turkey's mobility brand Togg has pressed the button to expand its product range. New registrations at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) revealed Togg's strategy. While the company is preparing for more accessible “economic models” with the T6 and T8 codes, it is winking at the “luxury segment” with the T12 series. So what does T8X, T12F or T10CX mean? Here are the codes of Togg's new model family.
Togg, which took to the roads with the T10X produced at the Gemlik Technology Campus and then proved its design power with the T10F Fastback model, takes its ‘5 different models’ target within the scope of its 2030 vision to a much higher level with the new names it has registered. Documents raised by the social media account Togg Team Turkey (@TOGG_Team) and verified by official records of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), revealed the company's future product strategy and segmentation logic.
According to the documents, Togg has secured a wide range of products, from entry-level to flagship. This move is interpreted as the first concrete step in the brand's goal of establishing not just a car manufacturer, but a “mobility ecosystem” that caters to every budget and need.
The Two Ends of Strategy: “Accessibility” and “Prestige”
When the registered names are analysed, it is seen that Togg's product strategy is based on two main axes:
Preparation for Economic Models: T6 and T8 Series
Togg's plan is ready for the B (Small) and A (Urban) classes, which are the most critical segments for electric vehicles to become mainstream.
- T8 Series (T8X, T8F, T8CX, T8B): In the automotive world, vehicle sizes are becoming more compact as the numbers get smaller. The T8 registration is Togg's B-SUV segment. These models will have a more affordable price tag than the T10X, more compact dimensions and urban-oriented range. This will be the real series that will meet the expectation of “public type Togg”.
- T6 Series (T6X, T6F): The smallest member of the list. These codes indicate “micro mobility” solutions planned for the A segment or entry-level B segment, which are minimalist, perhaps two-seater or suitable for the sharing economy (car hire/shuttle).
Preparation for the Luxury Segment: T12 Series
Togg says “I'm in” not only in economy class but also in the premium league.
- T12 Series (T12X, T12F): “The number ”12“ represents a ”Flagship", which will be located in the D or E segment, above the current T10 model. These vehicles are expected to be prestige models with a seating capacity of 7 people (SUV) or executive car comfort (Sedan/Fastback), high performance and equipped with the highest level of autonomous technologies.
What Do Togg Model Codes Mean?
Togg's naming architecture is based on a highly mathematical and logical foundation. In the light of the new registrations, we can decipher these codes as follows:
- T: It represents the brand (Turkey / Togg).
- Number (6, 8, 10, 12): Indicates the segment and size. The larger the number, the larger the vehicle, the higher the segment (8=B Segment, 10=C Segment, 12=D/E Segment, etc.).
- Last Letter (Body Type):
- X: SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) - Off-road/city vehicle with a high driving position.
- F: Fastback / Sedan - Passenger car model with a sporty roofline.
- CX: Coupe Crossover / Cross Coupe - a combination of the SUV's height and the coupe's sporty design. (The T10CX registration indicates that a sportier version of the T10X is on the way).
- B: This letter probably stands for “Box”, “Bus” or MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle). Family vehicle or commercial version with spacious interior.
“Unionsmarke” Shield for Europe
By registering these names with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), Togg has avoided royalty problems that may arise in future export markets. The “Unionsmarke” status ensures that the brand is protected in all EU countries from Germany to France, Italy to Spain with a single signature.
Strong Signal for 2026 and Beyond
Although the serial production dates and draft designs of these models have not yet been announced, the trademark registrations are considered “declarations of intent” in the automotive world. is recognised as a global brand. This proves that Togg is well on its way to becoming a global brand by adding smaller and economical siblings (T8) and larger and luxurious big brothers (T12) to the T10X and T10F in the coming years.
