Türkiye's 100th Anniversary Anthem was selected as a result of the 100th Anniversary Anthem Competition organized by the Presidency's Communications Directorate specifically for the 100th anniversary of our Republic.
The march, which won first prize in a competition with over 400 entries, was presented with great enthusiasm on August 30th, Victory Day. The lyrics and music were written by İlker Kömürcü, and the arrangement was done by Yusuf Yalçın. The march was performed by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra and other military bands. The lyrics of the march recount Türkiye's struggle for independence and freedom, its epic tales that transcend history, and the blessed path opened by Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Türkiye's 100th Anniversary Logo
Türkiye's 100th anniversary logo was chosen by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The logo was used throughout Türkiye in 2019, particularly in Samsun, for youth, cultural, and sports events commemorating the 100th anniversary of May 19, 1919. The logo symbolizes a period encompassing the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.
The logo consists of a crescent-shaped Turkish flag and golden sunbeams. Each sunbeam radiating from the crescent represents a year of the Republic, totaling 100 rays. The circular form and special golden effect color create a connection between the Turkish Century and the world, with the sun rising like a star. The circular form and special golden effect color in the logo are particularly striking.
The logo and corporate identity were published on the www.yuzuncuyil.gov.tr website, which was specially prepared for the celebrations.
