TAI is exporting ANKA drones with customized payloads to Malaysia!

TUSAŞ and the Malaysian Ministry of Defence have signed an agreement for the export of ANKA drones.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) has signed an agreement with the Malaysian Ministry of Defence for the export of the ANKA Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System.

Under the agreement, TUSAŞ will equip the first three of nine ANKA drones needed by the Malaysian Air Force with different payloads and export them. The value of the agreement has been announced as approximately $100 million.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony held at the 16th International Maritime and Aerospace LIMA exhibition at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre on Langkawi Island, Malaysia. TUSAŞ Deputy Chairman of the Board Ömer Cihad Vardan wished the agreement to be beneficial for both Turkey and Malaysia.

ANKA is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System originally developed domestically by TUSAŞ. ANKA can perform tasks such as reconnaissance, surveillance, fixed and moving target detection, identification, and can carry various munitions and payloads up to 350 kg. ANKA has a mission duration of over 30 hours and can fly at an altitude of 30,000 feet. Having accumulated over 170,000 flight hours to date, ANKA is a platform that has proven itself internationally.
