Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ), the only technology center in Türkiye for the design, development, manufacturing, integration, modernization, and after-sales services of aerospace platforms such as aircraft, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and satellites, has received the 'Design Organization Certificate' from the European Aviation Authority (EASA) for its 'HÜRKUŞ' training aircraft.
The application for certification, which certifies that all design engineers can safely design an aircraft in accordance with guidelines and regulations, was submitted in 2007.
Since then, TUSAŞ has successfully passed audits conducted by experts from EASA and the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM), thus being granted the authority to design aircraft while ensuring all safety aspects are taken into consideration.
