GSATCOM Space Technologies Inc., established by TUSAŞ and INVAP SE, completed the sale of a "High Output Power HTS Satellite" to ARSAT SA, the national telecommunications company of the Republic of Argentina, in its second year of operation.
TUSAŞ subsidiary GSATCOM launched a new generation communications satellite development program in 2019 that will provide significant advantages in the international market. The ARSAT-SG1 satellite, which is planned to be designed by TUSAŞ, GSATCOM, and INVAP SE engineers within two years, is expected to be completed in 2024. Operating in Geostationary Orbit, the ARSAT-SG1 satellite will possess strategic advantages incorporating numerous technological innovations.
The new generation ARSAT-SG1 satellite, which will be used for civilian data transfer and has a fully electric propulsion system, is expected to hold a significant technological position among its counterparts worldwide with its output capacity exceeding 50 Gbps in the Ka-band.
