The Laser Defense System (LSS) is a system developed to counter mini and micro UAV/UAS threats up to a range of 500 meters, camouflage used by terrorist elements in urban areas, and IEDs (improvised explosive devices) and suspicious roadside packages at distances of 200 meters and above.
Priority areas of use have been identified as ship platforms, power plants, airports, border posts, headquarters buildings, and convoy routes.
