Durmazlar Holding, which entered the tram manufacturing business in 2010, won the Poland – Olsztyn tram tender, which took place in February, and signed a contract with the Olsztyn Municipality on July 18, 2018, for the supply of 12+12 tram vehicles.

Aiming to be among the world's leading companies in the rail systems sector, Durmazlar Holding established Durmaray in 2010, a company operating in rail system technologies, project design, software, assembly, testing, and commissioning. In 2011, it began production in two separate facilities: one with 15,000 m² of enclosed and 50,000 m² of open space for body and bogie manufacturing, and another with 25,000 m² and 10,000 m² of open space for rail system vehicle production. The first tram produced by Durmaray, named İpekböceği (Silkworm), was put into service for the people of Bursa in 2013. In 2015, it won another project from Bursa Metropolitan Municipality: 60 light rail system units and 12 double-track tram projects.
