Scientists in Izmir have solved the problem of fragility in edible packaging made from corn protein. Production will begin within 3-4 years.
Scientists at Izmir Institute of Technology (IYTE) have successfully completed their work on developing innovative packaging. An edible packaging made from corn protein, previously produced worldwide but unusable due to its fragility, has been made up to 500% more flexible in IYTE laboratories. It is stated that production of this packaging could begin within 3-4 years.
