Bayraktar KIZILELMA continues to expand its capabilities as an unmanned combat aerial vehicle. According to test footage shared by Baykar via its social media account, KIZILELMA, in a firing test conducted with the JET-230 ballistic supersonic missile developed by ROKETSAN, struck its target with pinpoint accuracy from a range of 120 kilometres. The ROKETSAN JET-230 ballistic supersonic missile has been announced as having a range exceeding 200 kilometres.

This firing conducted by KIZILELMA with the JET-230 marks the first test demonstrating that the platform is capable of launching not only air-to-ground munitions but also high-speed ballistic missiles. The description of the missile as ballistic and supersonic in the post indicates that the JET-230 possesses the capability to penetrate air defence systems through its high-speed terminal phase.
According to test data, the firing took place at a range of 120 kilometres, with the missile's range stated as exceeding 200 kilometres. This range enables KIZILELMA to strike strategic targets without entering the engagement envelope of enemy air defence systems. The platform had previously demonstrated autonomous formation flight and crewed/uncrewed teaming capabilities during K-SWARM tests conducted with the Leonardo M-346.
Baykar-ROKETSAN Collaboration Deepens
The emphasis placed on Baykar and ROKETSAN in Baykar's post indicates that the munitions integration collaboration between the two companies is deepening. ROKETSAN had previously achieved significant successes on Baykar platforms with the EREN loitering munition developed for the AKINCI UCAV and SUNGUR air defence missile integrations. The integration of the JET-230 onto KIZILELMA elevates this collaboration to a new level, expanding it into the supersonic missile category.
