The assembly and integration activities of the Thermal Structural Qualification Model (TSQM) of the İMECE Satellite were completed at the Space Systems Integration and Test Center (USET) located in the TUSAŞ facilities.
Within the scope of the project, the assembly and integration activities of the Thermal Structural Qualification Model (TSQM) began in January 2020 and were successfully completed in a short period of 4 months despite the pandemic conditions experienced both globally and in our country. Following this stage, the Thermal Structural Qualification Model will be subjected to rigorous environmental tests for 3 months and its compatibility with space conditions will be tested.
The İMECE Project, launched in January 2017, aims to develop the İMECE Earth Observation Satellite with sub-meter resolution to meet the military and civilian high-resolution imaging needs of our country.
The development of a sub-meter camera using maximum domestic resources will mark a significant step towards meeting our country's civilian and military high-resolution imaging needs with domestic sources by deploying it on a satellite platform.
