Acceptance tests for the first Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System (ANKA-S) capable of autonomous flight and navigation in both day and night conditions have been successfully completed, and 2 UAVs have been delivered to the Turkish Air Force.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) has successfully completed the acceptance tests of the first Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System developed by the company, which is capable of autonomous flight and navigation beyond line of sight, day and night, with satellite control capability. Two UAVs and related systems have been delivered to the Turkish Air Force.

Designed with the integration of new generation payloads and in accordance with national capabilities and international safety standards, the ANKA-S System, with its domestically produced flight control computer, aircraft control computer, and IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) system, has taken its place in the inventory as one of the most competent systems in its class in terms of safety and operational capability.

TRAINING SESSIONS WERE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED.

Technical and flight training provided to the Air Force Command began in October 2017 and was successfully completed.

OUR ENGINEERS AND LOCAL COMPANIES HAVE BECOME OUR PRIDE.

Through the meticulous work of our engineers and the support provided by our domestic companies, TAI continues to be ambitious in increasing the success of our country's defense industry by bringing together national and domestic capabilities. Successfully carrying out R&D and production activities, TAI has successfully completed the first stages of ANKA-S, which is considered one of the most important projects of the Turkish Defense Industry.

CAPABILITIES ACQUIRED WITHIN THE SCOPE OF ANKA-S

ANKA-S is a system that will add strategic power to the Air Force Command. Six aircraft can be controlled simultaneously via satellite. Information and data security have been maximized. Encrypted data transmission is provided in all communication systems, and hardware encryption is used in IFF and radio communication. Data recording is protected with a national encryption solution. With fully redundant automatic take-off and landing systems, it is ready for any challenge in the operational field.

Missions are fully simulated, and the aircraft can land at emergency bases independent of the departure airfield. In case of link loss, it can perform fully autonomous landings at defined airfields. Furthermore, it provides mission-focused flight with camera-guided flight mode and fully autonomous flight capabilities.

The new generation electro-optical/infrared camera enables the execution of identification, tracking, and marking tasks, as well as providing support for MAK (Military Search and Rescue) operations and air-to-ground/ground-to-ground communication via radio relay.
