The PD170 turbodiesel aviation engine, developed within the scope of the TEI – TUSAŞ Engine Industry Operative Domestic UAV Engine Development Project, has been delivered to BAYKAR A.Ş. for use in BAYKAR platforms.
The engine, which will be integrated into a diesel-powered platform owned by BAYKAR A.Ş., is expected to launch this platform in the first half of 2019.
The PD170 turbodiesel domestic UAV engine, which has accumulated over 3000 hours of engine operation since January 2017, leads its class in altitude power with 170 horsepower at 20,000 feet, and is among the best in its class in terms of fuel consumption and power-to-weight ratio, will have its full qualification completed in the second half of 2019.
