The Turkish Airlines ITU Robot Olympics 2016, sponsored by Turkish Airlines, has begun. The Istanbul Technical University Robot Olympics 2016 will take place on April 8-9-10, 2016 at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on the ITU Ayazağa Campus.
ITU Robot Olympics is a formation that aims to bring together students, academicians and industry representatives working in the field of robotics through events to be organised and plans to question the work done in this field in the light of technological developments.
Every year, thousands of high school and university students from all over Türkiye participate in ITURO as competitors or spectators. ITURO, where project registrations are done online, features robots competing in ten different categories: Line Following, Micro Sumo, Basketball, Fire Extinguishing, Stair Climbing, Maze, Color Selecting, Self-Balancing, Scenario, and Free Category. Participants also have the opportunity to showcase their robots at tables set up in the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. As part of the ITU Robot Olympics, seminars, talks, panels, and exhibitions are organized by academics, industry participants, and experienced students in fields such as robotics and control science. These events, held concurrently with the competitions, guide participants working in this field and broaden their perspectives.
