Türkiye's first armed unmanned surface vessel, ULAQ, is launching into the blue waters through a collaboration between ARES Shipyard and Meteksan Defense.

Manufactured from advanced composite materials, ULAQ can be controlled from a distance of 400 km. Capable of reaching speeds of 65 km/h, ULAQ has day and night vision capabilities and can be securely commanded via encrypted data links from platforms such as coastal command centers, frigates, and aircraft carriers. The armed naval vessel ULAQ can be used in missions such as protecting strategic infrastructure, escort duties, asymmetric warfare, reconnaissance and surveillance, and surface warfare.
