Yıldız Holding has acquired United Biscuits, the world's sixth-largest biscuit manufacturer. With this transaction, Yıldız Holding has risen to become the world's third-largest biscuit company.

Competing with US-based Kellogg's Co. and the Canadian pension fund Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, which acquired British Burton's Biscuit last year, Yıldız Holding has added United Biscuits, a company with roots dating back 184 years, to its portfolio. United Biscuits has a total of 14 factories: 11 in Europe and one each in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and India. The company employs 7,171 people.
