Trakya Oilseeds Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union (Trakya Birlik), through its own seed company "Birlik Tohum", has produced 100% domestically grown sunflower seeds.

Niat Çelik, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SS 269 Malkara Oilseeds Agricultural Sales Cooperative, stated in an interview with AA correspondent that the newly produced hybrid sunflower variety, LG 5400 HO, with Higholeic characteristics, will be planted in Malkara on a trial basis.
