The Bayraktar TB2 UAV, developed by Baykar, Türkiye's national producer of UAV systems, has made history in Turkish aviation by reaching 750,000 flight hours.
The Bayraktar TB2 UAV has played an effective role in counter-terrorism operations as well as humanitarian aid missions. It has also been a significant force multiplier in Azerbaijan's efforts to end the Nagorno-Karabakh occupation, in Ukraine's war with Russia, and in Türkiye's protection of its maritime borders. A preferred choice for NATO and EU member states, the Bayraktar TB2 UAV has been exported to 33 countries.
Bayraktar TB2 SİHA, 2014 yılında Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri’nin envanterine girdi. 2015’te silahlandırılan insansız hava aracı, Türkiye’nin savunma sanayiinde geldiği noktayı ve dünyada oyun kurucu bir güce sahip olduğunu kanıtladı. Türk havacılık tarihinde taktik sınıfta 27 saat 3 dakika havada kalarak en uzun havada kalış süresi ve 27 bin 30 feet yükseklikle Türkiye irtifa rekorunu kıran milli SİHA, 750 bin saatlik uçuşla birlikte dünyada rekor sayılacak düzeyde %93’lük bir yerli sanayi katılımıyla üretildi.

The Bayraktar TB2 UAV is a system whose all critical components, design, and software were developed nationally and originally by Baykar. The Bayraktar TB2 UAV has a wingspan of 12 meters, a maximum takeoff weight of 650 kg, a service ceiling of 55,000 feet, a flight duration of 24 hours, a payload capacity of 150 kg, and a range of 150 km. The Bayraktar TB2 UAV is also equipped with domestically produced smart munitions such as MAM-L and MAM-C.
