DASAL Aviation Technologies showcased its swarm UAV capabilities, airborne UAV deployment capability and its "Beehive" autonomous defence concept at the international military drone competition BIMDTC 2026. Within the scope of the event, DASAL provided platform support to 8 teams competing in the competition with its 5-inch MİKON FPV drones.
360-Degree Protection for the Team Commander: "Angel Mode"
In the first stage of the demonstrations, DASAL carried out "Angel Mode" with a five-strong UAV swarm. The five-strong UAV swarm, positioned in a circular formation to encompass 360 degrees around the team commander, carried out uninterrupted environmental imaging and detected potential threats in real time. The three-strong UAV configuration, which was brought into play against threats detected during surveillance, carried out tactical smoke screening and then completed dive missions on the target with pinpoint accuracy, demonstrating the autonomous transition process from reconnaissance to strike.
MİKON Deployment from the FALCON C15 and the "Beehive" Concept
The MİKON Gözükara system, integrated onto the medium-class rotary-wing FALCON C15 UAV, was deployed from the carrier platform at mission altitude and carried out its independent flight mission. With this demonstration, the capability of carrying micro and mini-class systems to long ranges via medium-class UAVs and bringing them into play autonomously during a mission was proven. In the Beehive Monobloc Guard Post integration, meanwhile, the MİKON Gözükara UAVs, kept ready for take-off under its retractable roof, took off sequentially via the carrier mechanism once the mission command was given. The system stood out as a solution that reduces reaction time to seconds in the autonomous defence of border lines and critical facilities.
"We Reduce Reaction Time to Seconds"
DASAL Aviation Technologies General Manager Kutay Çağıl Büyüköztürk made the following statements while assessing the demonstrations:
"What is decisive on the modern battlefield is not the flight performance of a single platform, but how autonomously systems of different classes can work with one another. Establishing a 360-degree uninterrupted surveillance circle around a team commander, responding instantly to a detected threat with swarm smoke screening and dive attacks, or being able to launch multiple UAVs from a guard post within seconds — these are solutions we have developed directly for needs in the field."
