Turkey, which possesses 73% of the world's boron reserves, is closing the chapter on exporting this strategic resource solely as raw material. Developed as a result of extensive R&D efforts by Eti Maden İşletmeleri (Eti Mining Enterprises), the boron-based cleaning product "Boron" is taking its place on shelves as a domestic and natural alternative to petrochemical detergents.
Eti Maden, Türkiye's leading mining company, is bringing boron from industry to homes. Aiming to end the dominance of chemical products in the cleaning sector, the company is offering the natural cleaning power of boron mineral to consumers under the "Boron" brand. This move is seen as one of the most concrete steps in its strategy to transform boron into value-added products.
A formula derived from nature: Water, oxygen, sodium, and boron.
What sets Boron apart from its competitors is that it uses nature's own formula instead of complex chemicals synthesized in a laboratory. The product is derived from borax mineral, which occurs naturally in soil and plants. Its formula is quite simple and transparent: water, oxygen, sodium, and boron.
This natural composition ensures that the product does not contain environmentally harmful substances such as phosphates. In developing this product, Eti Maden prioritizes not only cleanliness but also environmental sustainability.
"Residue-Free" Cleaning Against Petrochemicals
Traditional detergents containing petrochemicals can leave invisible chemical residues on laundry after washing. This poses a threat to human skin and damages the fabric, shortening the lifespan of the clothes.
Boron, however, breaks this cycle:
- Zero Residue: It leaves no harmful chemical residue on surfaces or laundry.
- High Hygiene: Thanks to boron's natural antibacterial properties, it provides high hygiene without the need for extra chemicals.
- Fabric Friendly: It helps extend the lifespan of laundry by cleaning it without damaging it.
Boron, which does not threaten human health and is produced from domestic resources, directly contributes to the national economy by providing "import substitution" in the cleaning sector.
