Originally designed by RMK Marine, the Landing Platform Dock (LPD) has a total length of 200 meters and a total beam of 34 meters.
With a fully loaded displacement of 25,000 tons, its draft is 7 meters. The LPD, in CODAD configuration, has a maximum speed of 22 knots. The main propulsion system consists of two diesel engines, two reduction gears, two shaft lines, and two controllable vane propellers.
The amphibious assault ship has a cruising range of 7,000 nautical miles with an economical speed of 16 knots. With a crew of 1,070, it can remain at sea for 21 days without resupply.
