The new Pardus 2009.2 version, named “Geronticus eremita” (meaning “Bald Ibis”), of the national operating system Pardus developed within TÜBİTAK UEKAE, has been placed on the servers.
Pardus, the most important representative of the open-source world in our country, has launched its new version with a very special name. Pardus 2009.2, codenamed after the Ibis whose Latin name is Geronticus eremita, has reached the servers. Pardus is thus making a reference to the Ibis, a species whose population is critically endangered.
This version can be downloaded from the Pardus website, as always.
