ROKETSAN's domestic and national munitions achieved direct hits during live-fire exercises against live targets at the ongoing Denizkurdu-II Exercise in the Gulf of Antalya. In footage shared on the company's social media account, the AKYA heavy torpedo is seen splitting a target ship in half, the ATMACA anti-ship missile successfully destroying a target approximately 100 kilometres away, and the TEMREN guided munition, launched from a helicopter, precisely striking a target vessel.
AKYA Heavy Torpedo: Splits Target in Half
One of the most striking moments of the exercise was the live-fire test of the AKYA heavy torpedo, developed by ROKETSAN, against a live target. In the shared video, the moment the torpedo hits the target ship and the subsequent explosion splitting the vessel in half is clearly visible.

AKYA is a heavy-class torpedo launched from submarines, usable against both underwater targets and surface platforms. Developed with domestic resources, the torpedo features active and passive sonar seeker heads. AKYA is currently in service with the Turkish Naval Forces' submarine fleet and had achieved successful results in test firings conducted in previous years.
ATMACA: Direct Hit from 100 Kilometres
Another critical moment of the exercise was the live-fire test of ROKETSAN's anti-ship missile, ATMACA, against a live target. During the Distinguished Observer Day of Denizkurdu-II, ATMACA successfully destroyed a target approximately 100 kilometres away.

ATMACA is an anti-ship missile in the Turkish Naval Forces' inventory, also renowned for its export successes. The missile has a range exceeding 220 kilometres and possesses advanced features such as low-altitude cruising capability, target update, and re-attack capability. ATMACA stands out particularly for its ability to cruise close to the water surface, making it difficult for enemy radars to detect.
TEMREN: Precision Strike Launched from Helicopter
Another notable moment in the footage was ROKETSAN's TEMREN guided munition being launched from a helicopter platform and precisely striking the target vessel. The high precision demonstrated by the air-launched munition against a surface target proved that TEMREN offers an effective solution against naval targets as well.

TEMREN is a laser-guided munition developed by ROKETSAN, particularly usable against moving targets. Launchable from helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles, TEMREN can be used against both land targets and surface platforms. The munition's performance at Denizkurdu-II was recorded as a significant development strengthening the Turkish Naval Forces' capability to engage naval targets from aerial platforms.
Triple National Munitions Emphasis at Denizkurdu-II
In its post, ROKETSAN stated: "With our national munitions, we have turned the sea upside down at the command of our heroic army! We stand by our glorious soldiers in every corner of the Blue Homeland."
Denizkurdu-II stands out as one of the most comprehensive exercises of the Turkish Naval Forces. Surface, subsurface, and air elements are operating simultaneously in the ongoing exercise in the Gulf of Antalya. The successful destruction of targets by ATMACA from the surface, AKYA from underwater, and TEMREN from the air once again demonstrated the Turkish Naval Forces' three-dimensional engagement capability and the operational maturity of domestic munitions.
