Fifteen pilots and fifteen mechanical and electronic technicians from the Royal Saudi Naval Forces have successfully completed their training at Baykar's Çorlu Flight Training and Test Centre and graduated. In a post from Baykar's social media account, it was stated: "We congratulate our trainees."
Training Programme for Saudi Arabia
This graduation stands out as one of the tangible outputs of Baykar's cooperation with Saudi Arabia in the field of defence industry. The completion of training by the group of 30 trainees in total is regarded as part of the process by which Baykar platforms are entering, or preparing to enter, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces inventory. The training programme encompasses not only equipping pilot candidates with flight capability, but also providing mechanical and electronic technicians with platform maintenance and repair competence.
Çorlu Facility Becoming an International Training Centre
Baykar's Flight Training and Test Centre in Çorlu has recently ceased to be a facility where only testing and development activities are conducted, having also acquired the function of an international training centre. The facility had previously hosted test flights of the Bayraktar TB2 and AKINCI platforms, while the K-SWARM tests conducted by KIZILELMA with the Leonardo M-346 were also carried out here. The completion of Royal Saudi Naval Forces personnel training here demonstrates that the facility's international training infrastructure has also matured.
This graduation indicates that the training and technology transfer dimension of Türkiye's defence industry exports is also growing stronger.
