In the project to develop a domestic engine for the original T625 helicopter, the preliminary prototype of the core engine, which forms the heart of the engine, has been completed and the first ignition was successfully carried out.
The TS1400 Turboshaft Engine Development Project, initiated by the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry to meet the engine needs of the T625, the first original domestically produced helicopter currently in the production phase, has completed another stage.
Within the scope of the project, while gas turbine engine design, development, and testing infrastructures are being established in our country, a unique and national engine with 1400 shp power, type-certified and to be integrated into the Özgün Helicopter, will be developed by TUSAŞ Engine Industry Inc. (TEI). In the project, the preliminary prototype manufacturing of the core engine, which forms the main heart of the engine, has been completed, and its first ignition was successfully carried out.
